August 8-16, 2015 Pilgrims travel to Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II in Lurin, Peru on a pilgrimage to walk in the footsteps of Padre José.
July 30, 2015 – Bishop Callahan speaks with Catholic TV’s Father Robert Reed and Jay Fadden on “This Is The Day” about the Cause for Canonization of Father Joe.

March 16 – Bishop Callahan celebrated a Mass honoring the first anniversary of the opening of the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God, Father Joseph Walijewski,
at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse.
2013
May 1 – On the Solemnity of Saint Joseph the Workman, a Mass was offered inaugurating the Cause of the Servant of God, Father Joseph Walijewski. The Mass included a homily giving the reason for the Cause by Bishop Callahan, as well as the swearing in ceremony of the tribunal.
March 19 – An edict was tacked to the front door of St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse, declaring that “anyone who can offer testimony, good or bad, about the Servant of God, must make themselves known to the tribunal so they may give their testimony.” Bishop Callahan, on the Feast of St. Joseph, announced the opening of the Cause for Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God, Father Joseph A. Walijewski.
March 19 – Bishop Callahan announced the opening of the Cause for Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God, Father Joseph Walijewski. Dr. Andrea Ambrosi, the postulator from Rome, addressed those gathered for the opening of the Cause at the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman in La Crosse.
2011
March – Casa Hogar celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a special visit from Bishop Callahan of La Crosse. During his visit to the tomb, Bishop Callahan witnessed the faith of those gathered and understood the heroic virtue of Father Joe.
