 May 1 – On the Solemnity of Saint Joseph the Workman, a Mass was offered inaugurating the Cause of the Servant of God, Father Joseph Walijewski. The Mass included a homily giving the reason for the Cause by Bishop Callahan, as well as the swearing in ceremony of the tribunal. |
  March 19 – An edict was tacked to the front door of St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse, declaring that “anyone who can offer testimony, good or bad, about the Servant of God, must make themselves known to the tribunal so they may give their testimony.” Bishop Callahan, on the Feast of St. Joseph, announced the opening of the Cause for Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God, Father Joseph A. Walijewski. |

  March – Casa Hogar celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a special visit from Bishop Callahan of La Crosse. During his visit to the tomb, Bishop Callahan witnessed the faith of those gathered and understood the heroic virtue of Father Joe. |
